Step-by-step explanation of your case submission
1. Patient Information
Inform your patient about the possibility of MOVENDI treatment to correct malpositioned teeth. Ideally the practice team consults the patient and informs about costs and treatment times, as for example during professional tooth cleaning. Place patient flyers at your reception desk or in the waiting room.
2. Consultation and Submission
In your consultation meeting with the patient you inform the patient about treatment times, treatment possibilities and costs. If the patient would like to seek treatment you can do the impression taking of the patient on the very same day. Prepare a plaster model and send it to World Class Orthodontics, Ortho Organizers GmbH. For a clear identification of the patient, please provide your full practice address and the full name of the patient or initials when sending the plaster model. Alternatively, you can also send the data provided by an intraoral scan. Please inform your patient about the fact that with sending the plaster model, costs arise for the services provided by the MOVENDI lab in case of termination of treatment.
3. Review and confirmation of the treatment plan
Within a few days you receive a treatment plan via the MOVENDI user site. You can then confirm the treatment plan, discuss it with the MOVENDI service or adapt it. After your confirmation via the MOVENDI user site the aligners will be produced and invoiced.
4. The patient’s first appointment
Discuss the number of follow-up appointments with the patient and handover the required aligners to the patient. Inform your patient on proper use and care (refer to care instructions). If attachments are required for treatment, use the attachment template to bond the attachments by filling up the spacings with bonding material and fix the attachments by light curing. Do not unnecessarily move the attachment template during light curing. After light curing is finished, remove excess material and check attachments for gaps, cracks or bubbles. Check aligner fitting. 5. Follow-up
Check how much IPR (stripping) is required in each treatment step. Start with the finest strip and gradually use more and more abrasive strips until the required amount of enamel is removed. Compare the patient’s current condition with the MOVENDI treatment plan.
6. Final correction and retentions
Compare the treatment plan with the final result. Discuss together with your patient the possibility of MOVENDI retainers or retainer wires.
